The roots of RC HELICAM go back to 2007, when the husband and wife team of Andrew and Virginie Martens formed the original business of AVM Technologies CC. The original focus of the business was a combination of Andrew providing design engineering services and the forming of a high tech hobby toy shop. As a mechanical engineer with over a decade of experience in machine and product design, Andrew focused on the technical aspects of the business, whilst Virginie, with an honors degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Management focused on the marketing and sales.
After receiving countless requests from customers for a remote control helicopter that could take aerial images but with nothing commercially available at the time, Andrew set about designing a Helicam rig for such an application. Through thousands of hours of R&D the company has evolved into RC HELICAM, where we are now one of the country's leading providers of aerial video, virtual tours and aerial stills imagery. What makes us unique is that our Helicam equipment and techniques used have been developed in-house, and taylor made to suit our applications.
It is this same mindset that allows us to provide a working solution to every new assignment and challenge that our customers present to us. There is no project we won't take on.
